I’m Angeline
Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia, my love for reading was nurtured by a community that deeply valued education and representation. My teachers, parents, and church family introduced me to books filled with characters who looked like me, stories that affirmed my identity and gave me the confidence to believe I could achieve anything I set my mind to.
Now living in Toronto, Ontario, I see firsthand how powerful that kind of representation still is. Whether you’re in Hamilton, Ontario, Atlanta, Georgia, or even London, England, children from diverse backgrounds deserve to see themselves reflected in the books they read. That kind of visibility isn’t just important, it’s essential.
